Sunny gets bail on surrender in dowry case

Bangladesh cricket star Arafat Sunny secured bail after he surrendered before a Dhaka court in connection with a dowry case filed by a woman who claims to be his wife.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Zakir Hossain Tipu passed the order on Monday.
On January 23, Nasrin Sultana, who claims to be Sunny’s wife, filed the case against Sunny and his mother Nargis Akter on charges of demanding Tk 20 lakh as dowry and torturing her.
On January 5, she also filed another case under the ICT Act accusing Sunny of posting offensive photographs using a fake facebook account.
