Tamim leaves Essex due to personal reasons

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal will not participate in any matches for Essex Eagles in the NatWest T20 Blast.

The official website of Essex on Tuesday said, “Essex County Cricket Club can confirm that overseas player, Tamim Iqbal, has left the Club with immediate effect due to personal reasons. We wish him all the best and it would be appreciated if Tamim’s privacy is respected during this time.”

Earlier on Sunday, Tamim played his opening match for Essex Eagles against Kent Spitfires at Kent County Cricket Ground.
