Tigers begin preparation for Australia series

Bangladesh cricket team on Monday started their preparation at Shere Bangla National Stadium (SBNCS), Mirpur for the upcoming test series against Australia, scheduled to begin from August 27.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has already announced a 29-man preliminary squad for the imminent home series. Among them, a total of 22 players have present in the opening day. The rest of seven playes are busy with their task except Rubel.

Of them, opener Tamim Iqbal departed for England to participate in the English county cricket for Essex Eagles.  Paceman Rubel Hossen couldn`t join the camp due to injury. Besides, five players (Liton Kumar Das, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Tanvir Haider, Saifuddin, Abul Hasan Raju) are featuring for Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) high performance unit in Australia now.

However, the preparation started after Mushfiqur & Co. reported to strength and conditioning coach Mario Villavarayen at 9am. Then they have spent some time at the gymnasium and indoor works respectively.

The fitness training will continue till on June 23.

Team Bangladesh is likely to be started their preparation under head coach Chandika Hathurusingha from 28 July this month.

The cricketers got 22 days vacation after finishing ICC Champions Trophy, hosted by England and Wales.
