Mashrafe hails Tamim

In the ICC Champions Trophy at the Oval, The match between Bangladesh and Australia was abandoned due to rain on Monday. Now Bangladesh have a chance to reach semi finals as they have got one point against Australia.

Tigers batting were poor against the Aussies. No one stood on the pitch, but Bangladesh’s southpaw opener Tamim Iqbal played a brilliant innings and helped Bangladesh to score 182 runs.

Bangladesh limited overs skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza hailed Tamim for his magnificent knock.

“Tamim has now in his best form. He batted well in two consecutive matches against top class teams,” said Mashrafe in reply to question of journalists on Monday.

“Not only today’s match, if you look at his recent batting record, it is clear that Tamim, who has been passing a good time in batting, made a century against Pakistan in a warm-up match before beginning the tournament and had hit a ton during Sri Lanka tour earlier”, he added.

Comparing to the other top class batsmen in the world, the skipper seemed that Tamim batted exactly how a world class batsman bats during peak form. He was on the brink of two consecutive centuries. Tamim was very aggressive against the Aussies despite losing wickets at regular interval.

Tamim scored 95 runs off 114 balls with six fours and two sixes. Earlier, he made a century against England in the tournament opener.
