Bangladesh surpass 100, Tamim made 50
Bangladesh have surpassed 100 runs for two wickets after losing Soumya Sarker and Imrul Kayes in 22 overs against England in the opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy at Kennington Oval, London on Thursday.
Opener Tamim Iqbal is batting with 50 runs from 71 balls while Mushfiqur is with him on the crease with 13 from 11 balls.
Earlier, English captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and asked the Tigers to bat first.
Bangladesh captain Mashrafe said that he would have wanted to bowl, too. “We have to make a decent total, and fielding will be important,” he added.
Bangladesh have included Imrul Kayes at No. 3, as well as Rubel Hossain as the third seamer; Mehedi Hasan misses out.
