Messi shows off collected opponents jersey
Messi recently revealed that Zinedine Zidane is the only player he has ever asked to swap shirts with as opponents try to get his jersey after each match.
Whenever he exchanges his jersey with an opponent, Messi takes it home and puts it in his room.
His collection includes those from club colleagues and fellow countrymen including some from Real Madrid stars despite his club’s rivalry with Barca.
Iker Casillas, Angel Di Maria, Diego Milito and Raul have all given the Argentine his jersey before.
Messi posted a photo on his Instagram page of his amazing collection of shirts picked up from opponents.
Earlier on Friday last week, FIFA lifted the four-match ban on football star Lionel Messi after the Argentine Football Association (AFA) successfully appealed against the suspension.
The Barcelona forward was banned for verbally abusing a match official during Argentina’s 2018 World Cup qualifier match against Chile.
“The FIFA Appeal Committee has upheld the appeal lodged by the Argentinian Football Association, on behalf of the player Lionel Messi, against the decision taken by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, lifting the sanctions imposed on him as a result,” the FIFA said in a statement.
