Bangladesh 2nd ODI abandoned

The second ODI between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has been abandoned due to rain in Dambulla on Tuesday.

Earlier, Kusal Mendis’ maiden ODI hundred and Upal Tharanga’s half century in his 200 ODI helped Sri Lanka to post 311 runs for all in 49.5 overs.

Taskin picked up a hat-trick in the last over and become the fifth Bangladesh player, after Shahadat Hossain, Abdur Razzak, Rubel Hossain and Taijul Islam.

The Tigers can’t lose the series as they took the lead 1-0 with a 90-run victory in the first match.

The hosts have to win the third and final match at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo on Saturday to square the series.
