Special blazer for Bangladesh’s 100th Test
Bangladesh will play their 100th Test match when they take on Sri Lanka in the second of a two-match series at Colombo’s P Sara Oval on March 15.
To make this achievement memorable, Bangladesh Cricket Board took an innovative initiative.
Each member of the Mushfiq and Co. will get a special gift from the management – a blue color blazer seal with 100th Test, for their imminent Test match.
Talking to Jago News, Bangladesh cricket team manager Khaled Mahmud said that all the players of Bangladesh squad will get blue color blazer as a gift to mark its100th Test match.
It was learnt that on Tuesday, BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon along with the board’s top officials will leave for Colombo from Dhaka by an Air Sri Lanka flight.
They are expected to arrive in Sri Lanka around 5pm.
BCB officials also said that the board will arrange an official dinner party for the Bangladesh cricket team.
Thilanga Sumathipala, Lankan Cricket Board president said that they have also taken an initiative to celebrate the Tigers hundred test.
“It’s a very big achievement for Bangladesh cricket team. We congratulated them for undertaking such a long journey. Lankan cricket board has decided to give Tigers souvenir,” he said adding that “a dinner party will also be arranged in the honor of Bangladesh cricket team.”
Bangladesh played their first Test match against India in 2000.
