Smith takes incredible catch

The Aussie skipper produced a super-human effort to dismiss KL Rahul after the Indian opener had just notched a half-century in Bangalore.

Rahul played a back-foot cut shot off Steve O`Keefe but got a thick outside edge towards Smith at first slip.

The captain dived full length to his right, managing to grasp the ball in his fingertips as he was perpendicular to the ground.

"One of the greatest catches you will ever see," Sunil Gavaskar said in commentary.

Brett Lee went one step further: "That is the greatest catch I`ve ever seen live."

Smith`s insane effort helped the Aussies stop a dangerous partnership between Rahul and Pujara as the hosts looked to build a lead in the second innings.
