England bat in second Test
England won the toss and decided to bat on the first day of the second Test against South Africa at Newlands on Saturday.
England lead the four-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Durban by 241 runs.
South Africa made three changes, two of them forced by injury.
Fast bowlers Dale Steyn and Kyle Abbott, who suffered shoulder and hamstring injuries respectively in Durban, were replaced by Kagiso Rabada and new cap Chris Morris.
Rabada and off-spinner Dane Piedt have both played in only three Tests, leaving Morne Morkel, playing in his 69th Test, as the only experienced member of the South African attack.
Quinton de Kock replaced out-of-form batsman JP Duminy. De Kock will keep wicket, with AB de Villiers playing as a specialist batsman.
England fast bowler James Anderson, who missed the first Test because of a calf strain, was passed fit and replaced Chris Woakes.
Play was due to start on a hot day under clear skies.
