IPL 2017 Auction: RCB buys Tymal Mills for Rs. 12 crore

England pacer Tymal Mills was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. 12 crore. Mills had a base price of Rs. 50 lakh.

RCB has Rs. 4.82 crore remaining after buying Mills. Mills comes in as a replacement for Mitchell Starc, who opted out of IPL 2017 on eve of the auction.

Mills played in two T20Is against India in the recently concluded England tour of India. Mills was the third England player after Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes to be bought on Monday. Indian pacer Ishant Sharma went unsold.

Delhi Daredevils picked up South African pacer Kagiso Rabada for Rs. 5 crore. Rabada joins Angelo Mathews and Corey Anderson, who were earlier bought by Delhi. Delhi also bought Pat Cummins for Rs. 4.5 crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders bought Trent Boult for Rs. 5 crore. Mumbai bought Mitchell Johnson for the base price of Rs. 2 crore.

New Zealand pacer Matt Henry was bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs. 50,00,000. Imran Tahir, who is the No.1 ODI and T20I bowler, went unsold with a base price of Rs. 50,00,000.

No capped spinner were bought in the fifth set of the day. Brad Hogg, Lakshan Sandakan, Ish Sodhi and Pragyan Ojha went unsold.
