India bat, Rahane and Bhuvneshwar included
India’s Captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat against Bangladesh in the one-off Test in Hyderabad.
Although the surface had a tinge of grass, Kohli said "Hyderabad has always been a very good batting wicket." India went in with six batsmen, including wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha, two spinners and three seamers. The hosts welcomed back M Vijay (shoulder), Saha (thigh) and Ajinkya Rahane (finger) from injuries.
There was no place for Karun Nair, who hit a triple-century in the Chennai Test against England, and a fit-again Jayant Yadav, in the XI.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who missed India`s last Test in Chennai, returned to strengthen the seam attack, which also included Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma.
Mushfiqur Rahim, who termed Bangladesh`s first bilateral international match in India as "a great moment for Bangladesh cricket", returned to lead Bangladesh and take the wicketkeeping gloves after recovering from a thumb injury.
In Imrul Kayes` absence, Soumya Sarkar will open with Tamim Iqbal. The visitors played three spinners in offspinner Mehedi Hasan and left-arm spinners in Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam, and two seamers in Taskin Ahmed and Kamrul Islam Rabbi.
