Tigers ready for India challenge
Bangladesh are ready to face India in a one-off Test at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad at 10am on Thursday.
It will after seven years that India will play a Test at home against a sub-continent side when they host Bangladesh. For Bangladesh, this will be maiden Test on Indian soil.
The Test marks Bangladesh’s first five-day outing on Indian soil since gaining Test status back in 2000.
Despite India playing a vital role in helping the Bangladesh become a Test-playing nation, both the countries have engaged in only eight Tests so far - all in Bangladesh - with India winning six encounters.
But Bangladesh, despite being ranked No. 9, cannot be taken lightly considering the tough fight they put up when India visited two years ago for a solitary match, which ended in a draw.
