Bangladesh beat Bhutan in SAFF Suzuki Cup

Bangladesh able to rescue of their some lost pride as they recorded a consolation 3-0 goals victory over all losers Bhutan in their third and last group B match of SAFF Suzuki Cup held on Monday at the Trivandrum Stadium in Kerala, India.

In the day`s match, Topu Barman opened an account for Bangladesh early in the 8th minute while Shakhawat Ronny doubled the lead in the 24th minute.

After the resumption, Rony completed the winners` tally scoring his second and third for his team in the 67th minute.

Earlier, Bangladesh went down 0-4 to Afghanistan and suffered 1-3 goals defeat to the Maldives to make out from the championship race. Bhutan yet to secure any points losing their all three matches.

The semifinals of the competition will be held on Thursday (December 31) while the final of the tournament is slated on January 3.
