Mamunul to resign as captain

Mamunul Islam, the Caption of Bangladesh National football team has decided to resign from the team.

He said he will quit as skipper after leading Bangladesh in the dead rubber against Bhutan on Monday.

‘It is difficult to go forward with this team. But being responsible (for the team), I don’t want to lose all the time. So I’ve decided that, the Bhutan match will be my last as captain,’ the midfielder told journalists on Sunday.

It is mentionable that, Bangladesh will take on Bhutan in their last group match of SAFF football on December 28.
