Tigers leave for India

The one-off Test between India and Bangladesh will take place from February 9-13 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

A flight of US-Bangla Airlines carrying the cricketers departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here for Kolkata at 11.40am on Thursday.

The Test match will mark Bangladesh’s first official visit to India since attaining Test status in 2000.

Although Bangladesh have toured India four times - 1990, 1998, 2006 and 2016 - they have never played Test cricket or even a bilateral series in the country.

India were opposition in Bangladesh inaugural Test in 2000 and have toured Bangladesh to play them in the longest format in 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2015.
