Sunny now sued for woman ‘repression’

Nasrin Sultana, who accused Bangladesh national team cricketer Arafat Sunny for uploading objectionable photos on social media, now filed a women repression case against him and his mother.

The case was filed with Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal of Dhaka on Wednesday.

After the hearing, Judge SM Rizanur Rahman of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-4 directed the officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station to submit a report before it after an investigation.

Earlier, Nasrin Sultana also filed two cases against Sunny under Information and Communication Technology Act (ICT Act) and Dowry prevention Act.

On January 5, police arrested Sunny from his residence at Dhaka’s Aminbazar area in a ICT case filed against him with Mohammadpur Police Station.
