BCB announced squad for U-19 Cricket World Cup
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday announced the 19-men squad for upcoming ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in Bangladesh from January 27 to February 14, 2016.
All-rounder Mehidy Hassan Miraz will lead the Bangladesh side in the tournament.
Bangladesh will face defending champions South Africa at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on January 27.
Bangladesh will also face Scotland and Namibia in the group stage matches.
A total of 48 matches will be played in the tournament.
Eight venues in four cities including Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Dhaka and Sylhet will host the matches.
Bangladesh Under-19 Squad: Mehidy Hassan Miraz (Captain), Najmul Hossain Shanto (Vice Captain), Joyraj Sheik Imon, Pinak Ghosh, Mohammed Saif Hassan, Zakir Hasan, Shaif Uddin, Shafiul Hayet, Saeed Sarker, Mehede Hasan, Mohammad Abdul Halim, Sanjit Saha, Saleh Ahmed Shawon Gazi, Ariful Islam Jony and Jaker Ali Anik.
Standby: Munim Shahriar, Mossabbek Hossain Sun, Rifat Pradhan and Qazi Onik Islam.
