Mahmudullah scores 3rd T20I half-century
Bangladesh Right-handed batsman Mahmudullah Riyadh, commonly known as Mahmudullah, scored third Twenty20 internationals half-century in his career during the first T20I of the three match series against New Zealand at Mclean Park in Napier on Tuesday.
His fifty came off just 47 deliveries, including three boundaries and three six, along with a strike rate of 110.63. He was dismissed for 52 by Ferguson.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the coin toss and elected to bat first, against hosts, as they posted a total of 141 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs, courtesy of a brilliant half century from Mahmudullah.
Tigers lost their first T20I against New Zealand as Kiwis skipper Kane Williamson’s 73 not out from 55 balls led New Zealand to a six-wicket victory with two overs to spare in the opening T20 international against Bangladesh in Napier.
