Not getting engaged with Anushka: Virat Kohli

Cricketer Virat Kohli has rubbished reports of his engagement with actor girlfriend Anushka Sharma.

"We are not getting engaged. If we were going to, we wouldn`t hide it," Virat Kohli, currently holidaying at a resort near Rishikesh, tweeted on Thursday.

"Since news channels can`t resist selling false rumours and keeping you confused, we are just ending the confusion," Kohli said in another tweet.

There were reports that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma might get engaged on January 1.

The arrival of Amitabh Bachchan in the town along with wife Jaya Bachchan and industrialist Anil Ambani further fuelled the speculation.

Anushka also re-tweeted the cricketer`s post on Twitter. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had arrived in Uttarakhand on December 24 and had directly gone to the spa resort where they celebrated Christmas.

They did not interact with fans many of whom had gathered at the airport as well as outside the spa resort choosing to post only a few pictures of their stay on social networking sites.
