Mushfiq under observation after hamstring injury

Bangladesh dependable batsman cum wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim has left the field for sustaining hamstring injury in the opening one-day international against New Zealand at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Monday.

Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said that he would be under observation for 48 hours.

“After getting the scan report, team management will decide the next course of action,” he said.

Mushfiq sustained hamstring injury while taking a hurry single of Mitchell Santner bowling.

Bangladesh team lost their first match by 77 runs and they will play their second ODI at Nelson on December 29.
