Mustafiz to play first ODI

It is almost certain that Bangladesh pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman will play opening one day international (ODI) against New Zealand in the Hagley Oval on Boxing Day.

The ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year will make his return to international cricket after a seven months gap sustaining a shoulder injury.

There was a cloud over whether the 21 year old pacer will play in the first ODI or not as Bangladesh don’t want to take any risk.

However, the chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu confirmed that the superstar will play with Mashrafee & Co in first ODI.

Mustafiz returned to cricket picking up two wickets against New Zealand in warm up match.
