Jamuna TV wins Jago News-DSEC Media Cup
Jamuna TV became champion of Jago News-DSEC Media Cup beating Ekattor TV by 18 runs in the final match at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
Jamuna TV won the toss and elected to bat first in the final. A 54-run knock from captain Faysal Titumir helped the team to post 94 runs.
Ekattor TV failed to chase the target as they were bowled out for 76 runs.
Skipper Titumir was named man of the match for his brilliant batting while Kahiruzzaman Babu, who smashed four half-centuries in four matches, won man of the tournament award.
Country’s leading 32 media houses took part in 5 day long tournament. Dhaka Sub-Editors Council (DSEC) organized the six-a-side cricket tournament.

At the beginning of the match, a minute’s silence was observed to pay profound tributes to the martyred intellectuals on the occasion of Martyred Intellectuals Day.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director and Media Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus was present as the chief guest at the prize giving ceremony while the chief selector and former captain of Bangladesh national cricket team Minhajul Abedin was the special guest.
