Ronaldo splits with Irina

Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo will be single again after a break up with Russian model Irina Shayk.

Football`s golden couple was together for five years and the couple reportedly split up when Shayk refused to attend a surprise birthday party for Ronaldo`s mother in Madeira, Portugal.

Shayk was notably absent from the recent Ballon d`Or award ceremony where Ronaldo earned the title of world`s best football player for the third time.

Less than a year ago, the Real Madrid footballer posed naked for a racy and intimate Vogue Spain cover with Shayk.

Before his relationship with Shayk, Ronaldo has dated English models Alice Goodwin and Gemma Atkinson.

Ronaldo has a four-year-old son to an unnamed American mother.
