Final’s hero Kapali to play for Khulna

Alok Kapali, one of the experienced batsmen of Bangladesh and hero of last season final match, will play for Khulna Titans in the fourth Bangladesh Primer League (BPL) which begins on Friday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The batsman was firstly ignored in players by choice for the last BPL. Finally new franchise Comilla Victorians took him and getting chance Kapali made himself a hero of final match contributing to make the team champion in the debut season.

Kapali scored an unbeaten 39 off 28 balls for Comilla to beat Barisal Bulls by three wickets in the breathtaking final match.

Mahmudullah Riyad, who led Barisal to make runner-up in last BPL, is the captain of Khulna this time. He will get Kevin Cooper, Andre Fletcher and Lendl Simmons.

National team pacer Shafiul Islam, Shuvagata Hom and Mosharraf Hossain Rubel will also play for Khulna.
