Comilla Victorians to take on Rajshahi Kings in BPL 4 opener

Defending champions Mashrafe Mortaza-led Comilla Victorians will take on with Rajshahi Kings in the inaugural match of the fourth edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on November 4 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

In the second game on the opening day, the Rangpur Riders will face Khulna Titans.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the itinerary for the T20 event on Sunday. Seven teams – Comilla, Rajshahi, Barisal Bulls, Dhaka Dynamites, Chittagong Vikings, Rangpur Riders and Khulna Titans – will take part in this edition of BPL.

There will double headers on each match day, cricwizz reported.

There will be a total of 42 matches in the league stages. After the completion of the legaue games, the top four teams will qualify for the playoff round, which consists of an eliminator, two qualifiers and the final.

The first leg of the tournament will be played in Dhaka between November 4 to 13. The caravan will then move to Chittagong for the second leg, Bangladesh’s second most popular cricket centre.

The second leg will be hosted by Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium between November 17 to 22.

However, teams will be back in Dhaka for the playoff round which starts from November 25. The Shere Bangla Stadium will host the grand finale on December 9.
