Bangladesh all out for 248 in first innings vs England
Seamer Ben Stokes produced a fine display of reverse swing bowling to help England gain a 45-run run lead after the first innings, bowling Bangladesh out for 248 on the third morning of the first test on Saturday.
Bangladesh survived just 12 overs to add 27 runs to their overnight total of 221-5.
Offspiner Moeen Ali broke through with only the second ball of the day as Shakib Al Hasan was stumped by wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow on his overnight score of 31.
Legspinner Adil Rashid then got nightwatchman Shafiul for two, after which Stokes’ burst of reverse-swing accounted for three debutants Mehedi Hasan (1), Sabbir Rahman (19) and Kamrul Islam for naught in the space of just nine runs.
Stokes returned figures of 4-26 and Moeen Ali claimed 3-75.
