Miraz makes sunny debut against England

Bangladesh’s Mehedi Hasan Miraz made a superb debut against the England in the opening Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong.

The Right-arm spinner finished with 6-80 off 39.5 overs as the England were bowled out for 293 in their first innings.

Naimur Rahman, Manjurul Islam, Mahmuddulah Riyad, Elias Sunny, Shohag Gazi and Taijul Islam were the other Bangladeshi debutants to grab five wickets in a Test innings.

Miraz, who took five wickets on Thursday, struck in his 40th over in second day of the first test when he dismissed Broad caught by Mushfiqur.
