Rizvi’s bail in 5 criminal cases upheld
The Supreme Court upheld a High Court order that had granted bail to BNP leader Rizvi Ahmed in five criminal cases on Sunday.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi’s bail was upheld as Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division Justice Hasan Foyez Siddique passed ‘no order’ on five separate petitions filed by the government seeking stay on the HC order.
The HC on September 7 granted six months’ bail to Rizvi in the five cases.
The cases were filed with different police stations including Paltan, Khilgaon and Motijheel.
