Fakhrul flies to Singapore

BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir went to Singapore on Saturday morning for treatment.

Fakhrul along with his wife Rahat Ara Begum left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Singapore in a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines around 8:45am, BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan said.

He said, Fakhrul will receive treatment at National University Hospital, Singapore for various health complexities, including blockage in the nerve of neck.

The BNP acting secretary general is scheduled to return home on October 21.

Earlier, after being released from jail six months after his arrest, the BNP acting secretary general went to Singapore for treatment at the same hospital on July 27.

On August 10, he went to the USA from Singapore for a surgery to have the blockage removed at Cornell Hospital.

He returned home on September 21 after taking medical treatment in the USA and Singapore for nearly two months.
