EU Ambassador Michael Miller meets Jamaat Amir

European Union (EU) Ambassador to Bangladesh, Michael Miller, met with the Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr Shafiqur Rahman, on Wednesday afternoon.

The meeting took place at Jamaat’s central office in Moghbazar, Dhaka, at 2:30 pm. During the meeting, both parties exchanged pleasantries.

Jamaat stated that various contemporary issues were discussed. Both parties expressed optimism that the friendly bilateral relationship between the European Union and Bangladesh would continue to strengthen in the future.

Present at the meeting were Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Amir, Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, and the party’s Foreign Affairs Adviser, Professor Dr Mahmudul Hasan.
