AL activists distribute leaflets in Dhaka

A group of Awami League activists distributed leaflets in the capital Dhaka on the first day of the party's pre-announced programme, demanding the resignation of Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus and labeling the interim government as illegal and unconstitutional.
The party activists began distributing leaflets to pedestrians and passengers in front of the main gate of the National Press Club and surrounding areas at 8:30 am on Saturday. However, by 12 pm, no senior leaders from the party were seen participating in the programme.
While carrying out the campaign on the first day, former Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Muhammad Anwar Hossain, stated that the leaflet distribution would continue across Dhaka and the entire country for five consecutive days, starting from today.
Also participating in the leaflet distribution were former Mass Education Affairs Secretary of BCL, Mukib Mia, former Vice President of BCL’s Dhaka Metropolitan South unit, SM Abdur Rahim, former Assistant Secretary, Enamul Haque Prince, Joint Secretary Didar Muhammad Nijamul Haque, former Vice President of Jagannath University BCL unit, MM Nazmul Hasan, Vice President Hasan Ahmed Khan, former Deputy Human Resources Secretary Kapil Haldar Sajal, Aminul Islam, Abdus Samad Lovlu, Ali Hossain, Mahmoodul Hasan Mamun, and other leaders.
Earlier, on January 28, the Awami League had announced the leaflet distribution campaign, set to run from February 1 to February 5, condemning the interim government led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus as illegal and unconstitutional.
