Ex-minister Latif Bishwas detained

Former Fisheries and Livestock Minister and former Sirajganj district Awami League president, Abdul Latif Bishwas, has been detained in Belkuchi of the district.
The joint forces detained him in a drive at his home in Kamarpara area around 3:00pm on Sunday, January 5, Belkuchi police station’s officer-in-charge Jakaria Hossain told Jago News.
Earlier on Saturday morning, January 5, a mob stopped Latif Bishwas’ car at the gate of Khwaja Yunus Ali Darbar Sharif at Enayetpur and broke a glass of the vehicle.
Later, the security guards of the shrine rescued him and took him inside it.
