Yunus begins talks with parties on nat’l unity
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus began a dialogue with the leaders of major political parties, including BNP and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, on Wednesday to call for national unity.
The dialogue begins around 4:15pm at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.
A five-member delegation of BNP attended the talks which includes standing committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, and prof Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, while a four-member delegation of Jamaat, including its Amir and Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, participated in it.
Besides, Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Ganosamhati Andolon chief coordinator Zonayed Saki, Revolutionary Workers Party of Bangladesh's Saiful Haque, AB Party's Mojibur Rahman Manju and Asaduzzaman Fuad, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish's Mamunul Haque, Gono Odhikar Parishad president Nurul Haque Nur, and many others took part in the meeting.
