Fakhrul off to London to meet Tarique
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir left Bangladesh for London, UK, on Saturday morning for a 10-day visit.
He, along with his wife Rahat Ara Begum, departed from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight around 8:25 am.
BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter, stating that Mirza Fakhrul is scheduled to return to the country on December 11 after his 10-day stay in the UK.
According to BNP sources, Mirza Fakhrul is traveling to London for political and party-related work. During his visit, he is expected to meet with BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
It is anticipated that the two top leaders of the BNP will discuss several important issues, including the country’s current situation, progress on reforms for an interim government, and the upcoming elections.
