The newly formed student organisation Biplobi Chhatra Parishad has accused the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami of collaborating with, what they allege, to be an Indian-backed plan to rehabilitate the Awami League by portraying it as a non-fascist political party.

At a protest held at the base of the Raju Memorial Monument at Dhaka University on Thursday (November 21), the group’s leaders denounced BNP and Jamaat leadership, claiming they betrayed the sacrifices of students and freedom fighters to further political agendas.

The event, chaired by Biplobi Chhatra Parishad Convener Abdul Wahed and moderated by Member Secretary Fazlur Rahman, featured speeches by Syed Qutub, Hasan Arif, and Ghalib Ihsan, among others.

Syed Qutub said, "The blood of martyrs like Abu Sayeed and Mughda demands justice. This ground cannot tolerate fascists or their collaborators. We must stand united to prevent the rehabilitation of Awami League under any conspiracy."

Hasan Arif, Chief Coordinator of the National Revolutionary Council, directly criticised Law Adviser Asif Nazrul for allegedly advocating the political re-establishment of Awami League.

"Asif Nazrul must resign immediately. His defence of fascism contradicts the sacrifices made by BNP and Jamaat activists. Leaders like Mirza Fakhrul of BNP and Dr Shafiq of Jamaat must also step down if they continue supporting such agendas," he demanded.

The protesters condemned BNP's alleged willingness to bring Awami League back into electoral politics. Abdul Wahed, the Convener of Biplobi Chhatra Parishad, declared,"The Awami League will not rise again in this country while a single drop of our students' blood remains. Even after the July massacre, BNP and Jamaat’s audacity to consider rehabilitating Awami League is a betrayal of the martyrs of the July Revolution."

Fazlur Rahman, the Member Secretary, issued a stern warning to those allegedly collaborating with foreign agendas, "Indian brokers and traitors will be expelled from this land, like Hasina. They will not find burial grounds here, InshaAllah."

Following the rally, protesters marched across the Dhaka University campus, chanting slogans such as “Delhi or Dhaka—Dhaka Dhaka,” “India’s brokers—Beware,” “Hasina is gone—Fakhrul will follow,” “Shafiq and Asif Nazrul will meet the same fate.”
