Elected govt’s term should be 4 years: Hassan Ariff
AF Hassan Ariff, adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives, as well as the Ministry of Lands, has said that the term of elected governments should be four years.
He shared this opinion during the 'BSRF Exchange' event held at the media center in the Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday (October 30).
The event was organised by the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF), an association of journalists covering the ministries.
Ariff emphasised that his statement reflects his personal views. He also mentioned that steps would be taken regarding the appointment of administrators in the Union Parishad based on the prevailing situation.
Additionally, he noted that the process of appointing permanent administrators in city corporations is currently underway.
