Ex-state minister for mass education Zakir arrested

The police have arrested former State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain in Dhaka's Mohammadpur area.

Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s media and public relations wing, confirmed the arrest on Thursday.

He said Zakir, a former Awami League lawmaker from Kurigram-4, is accused in several cases.
