BNP’s rally this afternoon: Tarique to deliver ‘new message’
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold a rally in front of the party’s central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, at 2:30 pm on Tuesday to mark International Democracy Day.
The party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, will deliver a ‘new message’ to his leaders and activists at the rally, according to BNP leaders.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will preside over the event as the chief guest, while acting chairman will join virtually from London.
BNP’s Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, Dhaka City North Member Secretary Aminul Haque, and Dhaka City South Member Secretary Tanveer Ahmed Rabin will jointly conduct the rally.
Senior leaders, including members of the party’s Standing Committee, will address the gathering. Leaders and activists from various districts in Dhaka Division, in addition to Dhaka city, will participate.
The rally, originally scheduled for Nayapaltan on Sunday, September 15, was postponed to September 17 due to adverse weather conditions.
