Swechasebak Dal leader hacked dead in Bogura

A Swechasebak Dal leader was hacked to death by miscreants in Bogura on Monday night. 

The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman Mizan, 35, Convener of the Swechasebak Dal’s Bogura Sadar upazila unit. 

The incident occurred in front of the Gokul Union Parishad in Sadar upazila.

According to local sources, Mizan was chatting with 6-7 people in front of the Union Parishad building at around 8:00 pm when some miscreants attacked them. There was no electricity at that time. The assailants hacked Mizan with sharp weapons and then fled the scene.

Later, locals rescued him and took him to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. 

Confirming the matter, Saihan Oliullah, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar police station, said that the police visited the scene.
