China reassures Bangladesh of non-interference

The Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, has iterated China's commitment to non-interference in the country's internal affairs. 

Following a meeting with leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Wednesday, Ambassador Yao emphasised China's support for Bangladesh's stability and development.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, along with standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and Abdul Moin Khan, participated in the meeting.

Ambassador Yao expressed optimism about the discussions with the BNP, saying that they were productive and would foster continued cooperation. He assured Bangladesh of China's non-interference and expressed hope for a swift return to normalcy.

Mirza Fakhrul welcomed the Chinese ambassador and reaffirmed the BNP's commitment to the people of Bangladesh. 

Fakhrul highlighted the importance of China's support in the current geopolitical landscape.

The Chinese ambassador extended his congratulations to Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman, expressing confidence that the BNP's relationship with China would continue to strengthen and deepen mutual trust.
