Attack on Fakhrul’s motorcade: Hasan Mahmud, 85 others sued

A case was filed accusing 86 identified individuals, including former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud and 300 unidentified people, on charges of attacking a motorcade of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.  

Chattogram north district unit of Juba Dal Assistant Office Secretary Nazim Uddin filed the case with the court of Judicial Magistrate Mominun Nesa Khanom on Monday noon. 

The plaintiff’s lawyer Ashfaqur Rahman said the court accepted the case and ordered the Officer-in-charge of Rangunia police station to investigate.

Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Rangunia upazila chairman Abul Kashem Chisty, Rangunia Municipality Mayor Shahjahan Shikder, Rangunia Upazila Awami League President Abdul Monaf Shikder, its General Secretary Shamsul Alam Talukder, Rangunia Upazila Juba League General Secretary Mohammad Yunus and Chattogram North District unit of Chhatra League’s former General Secretary Abu Taiyob were also accused in the case.
