3rd case filed against Sheikh Hasina

Another case has been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 23 others for allegedly shooting dead Dhaka Model Degree College student Foyzul Islam Razon in the capital’s Kafrul. 

Razon’s brother Razib filed the murder case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ahmmed Humayun Kabir on Wednesday. 

The court recorded the statement of the plaintiff and ordered Kafrul police station to register the complaint as a First Information Report (FIR).

This is the third case filed against the former Prime Minister.

Earlier in the day, a case was filed against the former Prime Minister, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and three others for allegedly abducting a lawyer from Uttara in the capital in 2015. 

The victim, Supreme Court lawyer Sohel Rana filed the case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Farzana Shakila Sumu Chowdhury.

The court recorded the statement of the plaintiff and ordered Uttara-Paschim police station to register the complaint as a First Information Report (FIR).

The other accused are former Law Minister Anisul Huq, former Inspector General of Police Shahidul Haque, former Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed.

On Tuesday, a case was filed against the former Prime Minister, former Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader and several others over the murder of grocery shop owner Abu Sayed in the capital’s Mohammadpur. 

SM Ameer Hamza Shatil, a businessman from Adabar, filed the case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury. The court recorded his statement and ordered the Mohammadpur police station to register the complaint as a First Information Report (FIR).
