Pacemaker installed in Khaleda's heart
A 'pacemaker' has been placed in the heart of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
Her personal physician AZM Zahid Hossain confirmed the matter on Sunday evening.
He said, "Madam (Khaleda Zia) had heart issues from before and blocks were found in her heart where a ring (stent) had been installed. Considering everything and as per the medical board's decision, a pacemaker was placed in her heart a while ago."
A pacemaker is an electrical device for stimulating or steadying the heartbeat or reestablishing the rhythm of an arrested heart.
