Not slavery of foreign nation, AL holds Bangladesh in spirit: Quader

Not slavery of any foreign nation, Awami League holds Bangladesh in its spirit and heart, said the party General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

He, also the road transport and bridges minister said this in an iftar and Eid item distribution program at the party's central office in Dhaka on Friday.

AL sub-committee on relief and social welfare arranged the program.

Referring to the statement of BNP leaders 'Awami League severed relations with Pakistan to accept the rule of Delhi,' Quader said, "Actually, BNP holds Pakistan in the spirit. But Bangladesh is in the heart and spirit of Awami League, not the slavery of any foreign country."

Mentioning that the Awami League president asked the party to distribute iftar among people instead of holding iftar party, he said BNP is arranging the same at big hotels and there spread propaganda and falsehood tarnishing the image of AL.
