Amir Khasru gets bail in 4 cases
A court in Dhaka has granted bail to BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury in four cases filed with Ramna, and Paltan Police Stations in the capital Dhaka.
Dhaka's Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain granted bail to him on Thursday on Tk 10,000 bond after a hearing.
Earlier on Wednesday, he was granted bail in two other cases filed with Paltan Police Station.
Amir Khasru's lawyer said today was also scheduled for hearing another four cases lodged against him with Ramna, and Police Police Stations but the hearing was not held as documents of the lawsuits were not submitted in the court.
There will be no bar for his release if he gets bail in the four cases, the law added.
A total of 10 cases were filed against Amir Khasru over the clashes between police and BNP men and alleged attacks on different establishments, including the residence of the chief justice at Kakrail in the capital, around BNP's October 28 grand rally at Nayapaltan.
