Rizvi breaks lock to enter BNP’s Naya Paltan office after 75 days
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi along with some leaders and activists entered the central office of the party in the capital’s Naya Paltan on Thursday morning for the first time since October 29 after 75 days by breaking the lock on the entrance.
They entered the office around 10:45am.
Rizvi said their standing committee members, led by Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, are scheduled to hold a press conference at the central office this afternoon on recently-concluded parliamentary elections.
He said they will now clean the office for holding the press meeting.
The BNP’s central office was locked since October 28 last year, the day when the party organized a rally near the area demanding resignation of the Awami league government and holding election under a non-party caretaker government.
