Jatiya Party Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu has won the Kishoreganj-3 (Karimganj-Tarail) seat in the 12th national elections.
He defeated his nearest rival independent candidate Major (retd) Nasimul Haque by 15,295 votes who got 42,235 votes, the unofficial results provided by the assistant returning officers' offices showed on Sunday.
Earlier, the voting in the general elections was held across the country today, with low turnout and sporadic violence.
