Reza Kibria quits Gono Odhikar Parishad
Dr Reza Kibria has resigned from the post of convener of a faction of the Gono Odhikar Parishad.
The party’s joint convener, Colonel (Retd) Mia Mosiuzzaman, will serve as the acting convener, Dr Kibria said in a press release on Wednesday.
“I have resigned from the post of convener of Gono Odhikar Parishad and submitted my resignation letter to the central executive council," he said in a press release.
“I have also resigned from the party membership and handed over the responsibility of acting convener to party co-convener Colonel (Retd) Mia Masujjaman,” Reza Kibria added.
He also expressed deep gratitude to the leaders of the Gono Odhikar Parishad for giving him the opportunity to perform his duties as the convener of the party.
He said “I feel very honoured to have worked with you for the last 2 years and 2 months.”
The party’s acting member secretary Faruk Hasan also confirmed the matter to Jago News.
