With the slogan “Change for peace, Jatiya Party for change”, Jatiya Party, which is participating in the upcoming 12th national election, has announced its election manifesto.

JP Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu formally unveiled the party’s 24-point manifesto from its Banani party office at 12pm on Thursday.

Earlier on December 17, Chunnu said their party will take part in the Januray 7 general election by fielding candidates in 287 constituencies of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS).

The ruling party - Awami League said that it has given up 26 seats for the Jatiya Party in the January 7 national election.

Opposition leader and Jatiya Party Chief Patron Raushan Ershad and her son Rahgir Al Mahi (Saad) Ershad are not in the race this time.
